HAND DRUMMING with JOHN BERGAMO Introduces musical ideas adaptable to any drums played with the hands.

Instructional material includes: Fingering patterns, the use of vocal syllables to express rhythm and meter, drum harmonics and playing on unusual instruments. Seven solos on various instruments including; Djembe, Frame Drum, Congas, and a spaghetti pot; demonstrate the possibilities presented in the lessons. Over head shots of the hands give the viewer a non-mirror image, facilitating imitation of hand and finger movement.

The video is supplemented with a CD and a written manual including analyses of the solos, expansion of the lessons, and a rhythm scale is also included.
